Our Founder

Nazim Zaman is a qualified Shariah scholar with over 30 years of experience of learning and teaching traditional Islamic sciences and also holds a PhD from Durham University, UK.

The Safaruna project was founded as part of a vision to bring Muslims all over the world closer through learning about their common heritage and by sharing their mutual experiences. We believe the authentic knowledge of our past, our people and our places must be carried into the future by all generations.
